We made a mistake with this wine. A delicious mistake! This is the Sauvignon Blanc from our single vineyard in Naramata blended with our single vineyard Okanagan Falls Losthorn Chardonnay vineyard. Last winter when we were putting the wines to bed to rest before bottling we accidentally blended these two vineyards together. After realizing our mistake we tasted the blend and thought it was pretty darn good. We left the blend together for a further 8 months to harmonize and come together and bottled it last month. Because this wine was not intentional, and we will hopefully never 'make' it again, we decided to price it at an everyday tariff.
This is of the same quality as our single vineyard wines - its just two single vineyards.
This not of lesser fruit quality - these were intended to be bottle as separate wines.
This was more expensive for us to make - extended elevage in barrel.
This is just a happy mistake and therefore we want to price it to put it behind us, and on your dinner table (and patio and rooftop and lawn party) for as long as you need delicious honest wine that doesn't break the bank. Enjoy!
The wine is 70% Sauvignon Blanc (Naramata) + 30% Chardonnay (OK Falls). Light, bright pale yellow. Zesty aromatics buoyed by ripe stone fruit and honeycomb. Fresh, dry, medium bodied and very very easy. A wine to have pre-dinner, during dinner and with a cheese course after dinner. This will age just fine for at least a few years but at this price...
